Membership

Since its formation GPFO has made a valuable contribution to the affairs of its Family Office clients, characterised by the highest standards of probity and discretion. All too often, advice tendered to Family Offices is coloured more by the skills that the adviser wishes to sell, rather than by the real needs of the Family Office client. GPFO has, however, constituted an Advisory Board drawn from the Family Office community for the express purpose of ensuring that the advice that it gives remains topical and relevant to the real needs of its clients, and I was delighted to contribute alongside my colleagues in this laudable process.

We were referred by an existing member of the network and have enjoyed some of the events. The thing I find most valuable are some of the resources available to members, for example the research and reports database which is quite easy to search and find the specific information I'm looking for and it helps us benchmark internally. I haven't seen this anywhere else.

Running a small single family office can be relatively isolating, I appreciated having a curated network of my peers. The senior executive roundtables GPFO host are excellent, and a place that I can bounce around issues that we have to see if others have had similar issues or suggestions. A very valuable sounding board!

We joined GPFO during the pandemic and it has been an excellent experience. Originally we joined to understand some best practice topics, like structuring an investment committee etc. but we have found it an extremely valuable and well connected network.

I was pleasantly surprised how informed the team are. Even if they don't have the answer they know who to speak to and they make the connection in a way that is sensitive to privacy and information disclosure.
