John Reade, Chief Market Strategist
World Gold Council
John Reade joined the World Gold Council in 2017 as Chief Market Strategist. He has more than 30 years’ experience in gold, working in mines, investment banks and hedge funds. He leads the research team and is a member of the World Gold Councils’ executive committee.

Elias Hafner works in the "Investment Strategy" team at Zürcher Kantonalbank, which is responsible for forming the investment view on all asset classes for our mandate business. His areas of expertise include currencies (FX) and alternative investments (gold, commodities, Swiss real estate). Elias Hafner studied economics at the University of Basel, qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has more than ten years' experience in economic and investment strategy analysis. Before joining ZKB, he worked for UBS and the Bank for International Settlements. He is also a lecturer on commodities and economics at Swiss universities.
