James Black – VP Listing Development
James Black is the VP, Listings Development for the Canadian Securities
Exchange (“CSE”). Based in Toronto, ON Mr. Black manages the CSE’s
domestic and international programs for attracting new companies to
the exchange as well as steering CSE’s client-service initiatives for
current listed companies.
In addition to these roles, James actively leads many of CSE's content
initiatives as editor-in-chief of the CSE's in-house magazine and as host
of CSE video and audio content including the “Exchange for
Entrepreneurs” podcast.
Prior to James’ tenure at the CSE, he was a manager at the National
Angel Organization where his focus was on helping Angel groups launch,
network with one another, and establish best practices for investing. He
graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto with Honours majoring in
Entrepreneurial studies.
Anna Serin – Director of Business Development
Anna Serin has over 20 years of experience in securities and corporate
finance. She commenced her career as an investment advisor, focusing
on holistic advisory services with high-net-worth individuals. Following her tenure as an advisor, Ms. Serin opened her own corporate governance firm assisting small cap and growth public companies.
In 2016, Ms. Serin join the Canadian Securities exchange (CSE) as the
Director of Listings Development. In this role, Anna is responsible for
aiding in the growth and development of the CSE within Canadian and
global marketplaces. The CSE was recognized as a stock exchange in
2004 and was developed to provide a modern and efficient alternative
for companies looking to access the Canadian public capital markets.
Currently, Ms. Serin serves as a committee member on the BCSC
Corporate Finance Stakeholder Forum as well as the Women in Capital
Markets Steering Committee.
